We believe the tenets of the Christian faith as they are outlined in the three ecumenical creeds: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed, as well as the teaching of Martin Luther and the reformers that are summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Scripture alone, Faith alone.

GRACE ALONE God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him, and don’t deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.

SCRIPTURE ALONE The Holy Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and standard for Christian doctrine.

FAITH ALONE By His suffering and death, Jesus substituted Himself for all people and all time, purchasing for them forgiveness and eternal life. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.

  • We believe that it is only in and through God’s Son Jesus that a person has fellowship with God, as Jesus Himself said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 .) Jesus Christ, His life, death, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven is at the heart of all that is preached and taught at Grace. Through a personal relationship with Jesus that begins in baptism and continues with hearing God’s Word, one becomes and remains a child of God. (John 3 : 5-8.)

Grace Lutheran Church Prayer Ministry welcomes the opportunity for you to submit a prayer request. Your prayer request will be treated with confidentiality by Grace Lutheran’s pastors, staff and prayer chains.

This list of Bible verses is to encourage you and your loved ones. Please read through each verse and take them with you to God in prayer.

Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven

Mark 9:29 And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer."
Acts 9:40 But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.
James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
"Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
"Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
"John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it"
Ephesians 6:18 Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints"
"Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
